Father and son remanded in custody over Devlin murder
A father and son have been remanded in custody at Belfast Magistrates Court charged with the murder of father of six, Gerard Devlin on Friday.
Christopher Notarantonio, 53, and William Notarantanio, 21, both of Whitecliff Parade are also charged with affray.
There was a heavy police presence in the courtroom during the brief appearance and the magistrate warned the crowded public gallery that he would not tolerate any disturbance.
Mr Devlin was fatally stabbed during an incident at Whitecliff Parade, in Ballymurphy, West Belfast.
The stabbing is believed to be the result of an ongoing feud with another family in the area, which had forced Mr Devlin to move away.
The victim is believed to have returned to Whitecliff Parade to collect his children when he was killed.
Meanwhile, police in West Belfast are investigating a link between the murder and a number of overnight arson attacks in the area.
In one incident, a house in Ballymurphy Parade, was badly damaged by a by a petrol bomb, which was thrown at around midnight, and a short time later, a vehicle at nearby Rock Grove was set on fire.
These attacks follow similar incidents on Sunday evening.
The family of Mr Devlin have called for the attacks to stop.
Both were remanded in custody to appear by video link at the same court on 7 March.

Devlin murder third accused bailed
The third person accused of the murder of west Belfast man Gerard Devlin has been released on bail. William Notarantonio, 21, from Whitecliff Parade in Belfast was granted bail at the High Court today on condition that he is to reside in England and report to police daily until the trial.

Devlin Murder Jury Visits Scene
The jury presiding over the trial of two men accused of murdering north Belfast schoolboy Thomas Devlin have been on a tour of the area. The 15-year-old (pictured) was allegedly stabbed to death and two of his friends also attacked on the Upper Somerton Road, at the back gates of St Patrick's College.

The SDLP Leader Dr Alasdair McDonnell has unveiled a new team of local party representatives. Just days after it was announced that the SDLP Mournes Cllr Sean Rogers had been selected by party members to replace South Down MP Margaret Ritchie in the Stormont Assembly, while she concentrates on Westminster, the expanded SDLP team was named.

Jailed Killer Warranted 'Severe Punishment'
A Ballymurphy killer has been handed an 11-year jail sentence. Francisco Antonio Notarantonio, 21, of Whitecliff Parade, Belfast was jailed for the manslaughter of Gerard Devlin whose death was witnessed by both his partner and the victim's six children.

Two men murdered in separate West Belfast attacks
A 21-year man has died, following an assault in West Belfast on Sunday evening. The incident happened at a flat in the Oak Villa area, close to the Springfield Road, at around 7.15pm. One man has been arrested in connection with the attack. Police said that the man's death is being treating as murder.
