Newry pensioner targeted by robbers
Police in Newry have appealed for information following the robbery of a pensioner last night.
Three men forced their way into the elderly woman's home in the Patrick Street area of the city at around 7pm.
The robbers ransacked rooms before making off with an undisclosed sum of money.
The woman has been left badly shaken by her ordeal.
Police have not yet revealed if this robbery is related to two other similar attacks on the elderly in the County Down area over the past 24 hours.
On Monday night, three men robbed a 71-year-old man at his home in Warrenpoint and shortly before that, three armed robbers threatened an 80-year-old man in the nearby Sandy Road area.

Father and son injured during robbery
A father and son have been treated in hospital after they were injured during a robbery at their Monaghan Road home outside Armagh last night. Shortly after 8.30pm, three masked men who were armed with a seven-inch-long boning knife, handgun and sledgehammer entered the house while the father and son were watching television.

Pensioners attacked by robbers
Police in Londonderry have appealed for witnesses following the mugging of a pensioner at around 9pm last night. The woman, who is in her 70's, was walking along the Aileach Road, when she had her handbag snatched by two men. The woman suffered shock but was otherwise injured during the incident.

Two Men Attacked With Baseball Bats In Co Antrim
Two 18-year-old men have been attacked with baseball bats in Whitehead, Co Antrim. The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. One has been discharged, and the other remains in hospital.
