Jobs saved at Tyrone Crystal

Workers at Tyrone Crystal in Dungannon have won a repreive following the sale of the business.

It is reported that two Northern Ireland businessmen have purchased the company, however their identity has not yet been revealed.

Earlier this month, it was announced that jobs would be lost after the company was forced to shut down one of its glass furnaces.

However management promised to try and salvage the remaining 35 jobs and sell the business as a going concern.

Pork Processing Factory Forced To Close
Stevenson's has announced their food processing plant in Cullybackey is to close. It is understood that up to 100 jobs will be lost. 1,000 jobs to be created in Belfast
Around 1,000 jobs are to be created in Belfast, it has been announced. Indian company, ICICI OneSource, one of the country's largest business processing outsourcing (BPO) firms, is to open a call centre in the city, creating over 1,000 jobs over the next two-years.

Tyrone Crystal Closure Shock
The world famous Tyrone Crystal factory near Dungannon is to close with the loss of 31 jobs. Just hours after a local politician sounded alarm bells on the precarious state of the business, the company has said it will be entering "an orderly winding down period of its factory processes".
