Police launch investigation after teenager is raped

Police have launched an investigation into the serious sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in County Londonderry at the weekend.

It is understood that the attack took place on the Bushmills Road in Coleraine in the early hours of Saturday morning, however details were only released today.

It has been reported that a man who was arrested in connection with the incident has since been released on police bail.

Detectives investigating the assault have asked that two youths who helped the girl after the attack took place to get in touch with them.

They have also appealed to anyone who may have information which may be of interest to police to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

16-Year-Old Girl Suffers Severe Facial Injuries During Attack In Bangor
Three teenagers have been charged in connection with a serious assault of a 16-year-old girl in Bangor, County Down. The assault occurred at about 7.30pm on Friday, 20 April. A video of the attack was posted to Facebook and shows the teenage victim being punched and kicked by a number of attackers, both male and female.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.
