Belfast Firm Is One Of Top 100 Companies In UK To Work For
A Belfast-based company has been celebrating making it into the Sunday Times Top 100 companies in the UK to work for - the only company in Northern Ireland to make the list this year.
The company, HEAT, based at the Sydenham Road, Belfast, is the largest heating installation and servicing company in Ireland with annual sales of £20 million and has 260 employees. It specialises in social housing domestic heating design, installation and servicing.
Over 80% of employees at the company felt that working with the company they could “make a difference” and the company also made it into the top four on the work-life balance section.
“Putting back into the community” also scored highly, a reflection of the importance the company place on Corporate Social Responsibility. Last year in excess of £60,000 was given in charitable donations.
The Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work for survey is a comprehensive process that involves employees, with each employee completing a detailed questionnaire.
Views from more than 86,500 employees in 522 companies were received and HEAT achieved an overall ranking of 31.
John Morgan, Director of HEAT Ltd, commented: “The Sunday Times Top 100 award is a recognition of our commitment to excellence and the investment we make in the people who make Heat such a special place at which to work. We invested £1,200 per employee in training last year to ensure or staff are fully motivated and supported.
“Our main goal is customer satisfaction and with such a happy and motivated workplace our commitment to excellence in customer service is readily achievable.”
The Sunday Times Award came in the same week that the company picked up an Investors in People Award.
