Attempted abduction in Lisburn investigated by police
Police are appealing for information following an attempted abduction in Lisburn yesterday evening.
A man, described as being in is mid 30's, attempted to get two 14-year-old boys into his car, in the Montgomery Drive area of the city just before 7pm.
The man had a brief conversation with the teenagers, before ordering them into his car. The boys managed to escape and proceeded to raise the alarm.
The two boys were not injured during the incident, but were left badly shaken by the ordeal.
The man is described as being around 5' 7" in height, of skinny build, with short black hair and a goatee beard.
He is believed to be wearing jeans, a black jumper, and black shoes.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the attempted abduction, or noticed the man's red coloured Rover MG type car in the region of Montgomery Drive or Young Street between 6.30pm and 7pm last night, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Masked man attempts to abduct girl

A nine-year-old girl was standing outside a house at Laurel Bank in Poleglass at around 10pm on Saturday when she was grabbed by a masked man. The girl managed to break free from his grip and ran inside the house.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. The victim, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition after being assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. The suspect is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday, 17 October.

A pensioner has been taken to hospital after being shot in the chest by a masked man in Ballycastle, County Antrim. The 74-year-old man was working in a shed at a property in the Islandboy Road area at about 20:45 on Thursday evening when the attacker approached and shot him.
