Antrim Social Club targeted in overnight robbery
Police are appealing for information following a robbery at a social club in Antrim in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood that thieves broke into the Ulster Scots Club on Bridge Street in the town just after 3am, and made off with a safe and a quantity of alcohol.
Detectives have recovered a number of items from a nearby riverbank and taken them away for examination.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident in County Down, a convenience store was robbed at around 12.30 yesterday afternoon.
A man, armed with a knife, entered the Mace Express store in the William Street area of Newry and threatened staff.
The robber then reached into the till and made off in the direction of the Quays shopping centre with an undisclosed sum of cash.
The thief is thought to be in his teens and has been described as around 5' 9" in height and of slim build.
He is also thought to be wearing a black hooded top with white writing on it.
Police have appealed for anyone with information on either incident to contact detectives on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Detectives in Belfast are investigating a suspected arson attack on a 5G mast in the Andersonstown Road area. The incident occurred around 9.55pm on Wednesday, November 13th. Detective Sergeant Faulkner confirmed that officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who successfully extinguished the blaze.

Man remanded in custody charged with musician murder
A 27-year-old man has appeared in court on Friday charged with the murder of a local musician in Londonderry last week. Alan Luukas, of Riverview Court Apartments, John Street, in the city, is accused of killing James Gilchrist, 62, whose body was found in the River Foyle on Wednesday 28 September.

PSNI Detectives are appealing for information following a report of criminal damage at a house in the Raceview Avenue area of Ballymoney yesterday evening, Monday 20th February. Shortly after 9pm, a man dressed in black and wearing blue gloves, arrived at the property and began to attack the front door with a golf club.
