Police appeal for information following north Belfast robbery

Police in north Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery in a convenience store in the area last night.

A masked man, believed to be armed with a handgun, entered the shop on the lower Antrim Road at around 9pm. He threatened staff before making off with the contents of a safe, which has been reported as being substantial.

After the robber had fled, it was discovered that an accomplice had also entered the premises and stole a quantity of cigarettes.

The thieves are believed to have made their escape in a waiting car.

The man who entered the store is described as being around 6' 1" in height, of slim build and with sandy coloured eyebrows. He is said to have been wearing light brown boots, blue jeans orange gloves and a grey coloured hooded top pulled tightly around his face.

Detectives have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information in relation to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Detectives are appealing for information following an armed robbery at the North Circular Road in Belfast early this morning. A man entered a shop in the area at around 7:30am on Friday morning and threatened staff with a knife before taking a quantity of cigarettes and a sum of cash.

Appeal Over East Belfast Armed Robberies
The PSNI is appealing for information regarding two armed robberies in east Belfast on Tuesday evening. Police said that at about 16:25 a man armed with a knife entered a shop in the Castlereagh Road area and demanded money. He made off with a sum of cash and is thought to have headed in the direction of Isoline Street.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Woman Attacked In North Belfast
A woman has been assaulted and threatened in front of her children in north Belfast. The incident happened at a property in the Woodvale Gardens area at around 10.45pm on Tuesday. Three men entered the property and threatened and attacked the woman during a burglary. They made off in a maroon coloured Skoda car.
