Shots fired at Ballymena house
Two people have escaped injury following a gun attack on their house in Ballymena, County Antrim in the early hours of this morning.
Two shots were fired into the living room and bedroom windows of the house in Kew Link Gardens in the Dunclug area of the town at around 4.30am.
A 24-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were at home at the time of the attack, however were unharmed during the incident.
UUP Ballymena councillor Alderman James Currie has condemned the attack.
Mr Currie said: “This attack should be condemned by all right thinking people. The people of Ballymena and residents of Doury Road do not need this type of incident. I have every confidence that with the help of the public, the police will be able to bring the perpetrators to court.”
A motive for the attack has not been established and police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the attack or who may have any information in relation to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Boy Injured In Ballymena House Attack
A 15-month-old boy has been injured after a brick was thrown through the window of a house in Ballymena on Wednesday night. The infant was in the living room when the incident occurred at a property on the Moat Road at around 11.30pm. Paramedics treated the boy at the scene, however he did not need to be taken to hospital.
