One person dies in County Antrim crash

One person has died following a serious road traffic collision in County Antrim this morning.

Two cars were involved in the incident, which happened on the Ballyclare Road, close to Templepatrick at around 8am.

The victim's name has not yet been released.

Meanwhile, a man has been taken to hospital following another serious road incident in County Down.

It has been reported that a lorry and a car were involved in a collision close to the Billy Neill playing fields in Comber.

It is understood that the injured man was trapped in his vehicle for some time and is reported to be in a critical condition.

Man Injured In Greyabbey Collision
A man has been airlifted to hospital after being injured in a crash in Greyabbey, County Down. The two-vehicle collision occurred on the Cardy Road at around 8.10am on Wednesday. He is understood to be the driver of one of the cars involved.

Man Killed In Co Antrim Road Collision Named
A man who died in a road collision in Co Antrim has been named as Kamil Gervenka. The crash occurred on the Portglenone Road in Randalstown at around 12.15am on Sunday, 23 October. It is believed he was originally from Slovakia and worked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
