Body discovered in north Belfast park
Police are currently attending the scene of an incident at a north Belfast park, following the discovery of a body in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood that the body was found in a burnt out car, at the Cavehill Country Park on the Upper Hightown Road, at around 6am this morning.
Police have not yet revealed whether the body is that of a male or a female.
The circumstances surrounding the death are as yet unknown.
Police have said that a man, believed to be connected to the incident, is in a critical condition in hospital. His injuries are said to be linked to the discovery of the body.
The surrounding area, between the Upper Hightown Road and the Crumlin Road has been sealed off while a forensic investigation of the scene is carried out.

Over 800 young people from schools in Lisburn and Castlereagh attended a hard-hitting road safety message at the PSNI Road Safe Roadshow on 19 November. The roadshow, supported by AXA Insurance and the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, aims to educate young drivers about the dangers of irresponsible driving.

Man released pending inquiries in connection with body find
The man arrested in connection with the discovery of a body in a north Belfast park yesterday morning, has been released pending futher inquiries. It has also been confirmed that the body, which was found in the back seat of a burnt out car, at the Cavehill Country Park on the Upper Hightown Road, at around 6am yesterday, was that of a young man.
