Concern at low-flying survey aircraft
Police have said that people should not be concerned about a low-flying aircraft that is conducting a geological survey in parts of Northern Ireland for the next five months.
The aerial survey is due to be completed by early July 2006.
A police spokesperson said that callers had been concerned that the aircraft was flying so low that they thought it was in danger of crashing.
However, the white-coloured Twin Otter airplane, fitted with wing mounted fairings for instruments, is specially equipped to collect data on magnetic and electrical properties.
Weather permitting, flights will take place Mondays to Saturdays from 8am to 6pm.

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
