Belfast Consumer Advice Centre relocates
The only Consumer Advice Centre in Northern Ireland operated by a local council has recently ‘moved house’.
After almost 29 years in Callender Street, Belfast City Council’s Consumer Advice Centre has relocated to 14 Wellington Place, formerly the First Stop Shop.
The Centre’s telephone number 028 9032 8260 remains unchanged, as does the e-mail address consumer_advice@belfastcity.gov.uk.
The Advice Centre's opening hours also remain unchanged: 9.30am – 4.30pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9.30am – 2pm Wednesday, and 9.30am – 4.15am Friday.

Citizens Advice to provide debt guidance
Citizens Advice in Northern Ireland has been awarded a debt advice contract by the government. Minister Maria Eagle said: "Debt in Northern Ireland is having an adverse economic, social and personal impact on the lives of many people here. This new debt advice contract will help clients to regain control of their financial affairs.

The decision to fly the Union flag at Craigavon Civic Centre 365 days a year has been slammed by Sinn Féin. Craigavon Councillor Gemma McKenna hit out at Unionist Councillors and said they ignored the consultation results and all legal advice given.

Human organs inquiry line launched
A telephone enquiry line which will provide information to members of the public about human organs and tissue retained after post mortem examination, was launched today. The line, known as the Human Organs Enquiry line, will be operated by the Parents Advice Centre on behalf of the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety.
