Police investigate infant's death

Police are investigating the sudden death of a young child in Londonderry.

It is understood that the infant was found dead at his home in Currynierin in the Waterside area of the city yesterday.

The incident was reported to police at around 10pm last night.

The cause of death has not yet been established, however police have said that it may have been the result of a tragic accident.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out later today.
