Child injured in west Belfast RTC
A four-year-old boy remains in a serious condition in hospital after a road traffic incident in west Belfast.
A police spokesperson said that the child was knocked down by a motorcycle in the Rockville Street area of the city at around 7.30pm yesterday evening.
The child is was taken to hospital where he is being treated for head and chest injuries.
One man was arrested in connection with the incident, however was later released on bail pending further inquiries.
Detectives in west Belfast have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools
Over 80 schools across Northern Ireland have been closed as the heavy snow continues to cause disruption on Tuesday morning. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, as the snow is continuing to affect many roads. Areas which have been majorly disrupted include Lisburn, Castlereagh and Carryduff.

PSNI Appeal For Information About West Belfast Shooting
The PSNI have appeal for witnesses to or any one with any information about a shooting incident in west Belfast on Wednesday night. A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.

The DUP leader of Belfast City Council has questioned the funding of West Belfast Festival over alleged "pro-IRA singing" at one of their events. Councillor Ald Brian Kingston raised the issued after it was alleged that the crowed at a concert at the Festival chanted "ooh ah up the Ra".

Police Use Of Tasers Was 'Lawful' And 'Necessary' - Report
Ten incidents in which police fired Tasers between July 2012 and June last year were "justified", a Police Ombudsman report has concluded. Dr Michael Maguire found that the use of Taser had on each occasion been lawful, proportionate and necessary given the risks faced by officers and the danger posed to members of the public.

Attwood warns of 'threat' from west Belfast UDA
SDLP Policing Board member Alex Attwood has warned that the west Belfast battalion of the UDA has extended its influence and control to other parts of Belfast. Mr Attwood was speaking following the recent violence in north Belfast were Catholic teenager Gerard Lawlor was murdered by the UFF – a militant wing of the UDA.
