Garden Show Ireland arrives in Belfast
The biggest display of nurseries to be shown in Ireland is to arrive in Belfast this weekend.
Garden Show Ireland is being held at the Balmoral Showgrounds from today and will end on Sunday.
Ten garden shows, created by both local and national designers, including celebrity gardener Diarmuid Gavin will be staged, along with a host of cookery demonstrations by celebrity chef Jenny Bristow.
There will also be wine tasting and a beer garden to help proceedings along.
Visitors will be able to buy a range of specialist plants and flowers from right across Europe and will also be able to seek advice form gardening gurus Bunny Guinness, Dermot O'Neill and John Cushnie during a gardeners' question time.
Belfast Lord Mayor Wallace Brown today said that the show was a great visitor attraction for Belfast and that he was delighted to see how much it had grown since it began two-years-ago.
The event is to be launched by TV personality Charlie Dimmock.
