Ten held after police operation
Ten people are still being held for questioning after police foiled a conspiracy to purchase weapons for dissident republicans during an operation, which was carried out yesterday.
Over 200 officers, assisted by army personnel, carried out eight raids in Counties Armagh and Fermanagh as part of an operation aimed at disrupting an alleged conspiracy to procure a significant quantity of arms.
Police have also confirmed that part of yesterday's operation was to search for possible arms dumps belonging to the Real IRA.
Members of the PSNI's Crime Operations branch also travelled to France to assist French police with a related search.
Earlier on Monday, a police spokesperson said that they believed that they had disrupted a "potential major terrorist conspiracy" in the UK and Europe.
The ten people arrested are currently being held at the serious crime unit at Antrim, one of whom is also being quizzed in connection with the 1998 Omagh bombing in which 29 people were killed.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

McParland Murder - Woman Released
A woman has been released after being arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Sean McParland in north Belfast in February 1994. The 41-year-old woman was arrested on the morning of Monday 22 September, and taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim Police Station for questioning.

Man Arrested Over Moira Police Station Attack
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a car bomb attack on Moira police station in 1998. The suspect is being questioned at Antrim police station. He was detained in the Moy area of County Tyrone this morning.
