Man questioned over attempted rape
A man is being questioned in connection with the sexual assault of a woman in south Belfast at the weekend.
The attack happened at a house in the Haypark Avenue area of the city in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A PSNI spokesperson confirmed that the man had been arrested and was being questioned on suspicion of attempted rape and burglary with intent.
The victim of the attack has requested that no further details be made available at this time.

Man Arrested In L'Derry
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.

Two questioned following stabbing
A man has been stabbed in the throat, ear and hands in a knife attack in County Down. The man, aged 27, was attacked at around 9.30pm on Sunday in the South Street area of Newtownards. He made his way to a house in Holywood and was then taken to hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Man Arrested Over 1975 Bomb Attack
A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal bomb attack on a bar on the Shankill Road over 36 years ago. Five people were killed and 60 others were injured in the attack at Mountainview Tavern on 5 April 1975. The 54-year-old is being questioned at Antrim police station.

Man questioned over pub shooting released
Detectives investigating a shooting outside a bar in Belfast have released a second man who was questioned over the attack. The incident occurred at around 1am on Friday 11 May, when a man fired a number of shots at the door of Fibber Magee’s in Blackstaff Square.
