County Derry woman mauled by tiger
A 19-year-old Londonderry woman who was mauled by a tiger at Dublin Zoo is in a stable condition in a Dublin hospital.
Roisin Brolly, from Foreglen near Dungiven, was taken to the James Connelly Memorial Hospital in Dublin following incident on Wednesday afternoon.
It is reported that the University of Ulster student, and her boyfriend, climbed two fences around the tiger enclosure before she put her arm through a wire mesh fence.
Two of the big cats were in the enclosure at the time and one lunged at her, grabbed her arm and then tried to pull her through the fence.
It is understood that Roisin and her boyfriend may have been drinking at the time of the incident.
The girl's parents are at her bedside in Dublin.
A spokesperson from Dublin Zoo said that the tigers reacted as they would in the wild and would not be put down as a consequence of the attack.
The zoo has said that it will review its security.

Arrest Follows Dublin 'Tiger Kidnapping'
A man has been detained in connection with a so-called tiger kidnapping attempt in Dublin this morning. According to Gardaí, the incident began shortly after 6.30am when a woman was taken from her Ballyfermot home in a vehicle. Her kidnappers then demanded the bank official obtain a sum of money from the bank and await instructions.
