Global software company sign up Parc Computing
Antrim-based Parc Computing has consolidated its position as Ireland’s leading consultancy for users of SAP business software.
Parc were recently awarded the exclusive rights to resell SAP’s packaged services in Ireland. SAP, based in Germany, is an international market leader in business software solutions and Parc Computing is one of a limited number of companies worldwide, accredited to deliver SAP consultancy.
John Smith, Business Development Manager at Parc, said: “These new packaged services are aimed at all sizes of customer, and provide an innovative way of implementing SAP solutions to solve technical issues like poor performance or archiving. Each package is clearly defined in scope, has a definite end deliverable and is available at a fixed price. They will also have a quick implementation time resulting in a quicker return on investment for clients.”
The two companies recently co-hosted a major event in Dublin to introduce the new packaged services to their client base in Ireland. With Parc recently signed by Samsung as an alliance partner in the UK, Samsung SDS, the software division of the Korean multinational sponsored the Dublin event.
The packaged services are designed to add new functionality, at a relatively low cost, to SAP software already being used by customers. Part of the suite on offer is a reporting package developed by Parc Computing. This package allows companies to draw financial reports from their database and use a web browser to put them on an intranet. Access to the reports can be controlled with a password.
Formed in 1997, Parc’s clients include Ryanair, DuPont, Kraft Foods, FG Wilson and NIE. Parc currently employ 15 consultants.
SAP is a market and technology leader in client/server enterprise application software, providing comprehensive solutions for companies of all sizes across all industry sectors.
