Dunloy security alert declared a hoax
Police have confirmed that a security alert in County Antrim was a hoax.
The alert began shortly before 11am this morning, when police received reports that a device had been left under a car, thought to be that of a Sinn Fein representative in Dunloy.
The vehicle was examined and nothing suspicious was found.
Earlier today, Sinn Fein revealed that two councillors, Anita Cavlan MLA for Ballymoney, and Monica Digney, Ballymena MLA, had been warned that they were to be targeted.
Commenting on today's alert, Ms Digney said: "This is the fifth or six threat I have received, and Anita Cavlan received some quite menacing phone calls over the weekend."

Security Alert In L'Derry
Police are warning people in L'Derry to be vigilant following a security alert in the Drumsurn area. A local charity received a call at around 2am on Wednesday and were told that a device had been left close to the junction of the Leghavallon Road. Police are at the scene and the road remains closed.

SDLP MLA targeted in hoax bomb alert
SDLP MLA Eugene McMenamin has been targeted for the second time this week after a suspicious package was found on the windscreen of his car on Thursday. Bomb Alert Was Hoax Says PSNI
A bomb alert in Newtownabbey has been declared a hoax. PSNI have described the security alert as an "elaborate hoax". The M5, was closed in both directions from Hazelbank to Doagh Road, on Tuesday night. All roads have re-opened.

Security Alert Finds Nothing At MLA's Home
A security alert at the North Antrim home of Sinn Féin MLA Daithí McKay has ended without incident. Police were called to the home following a report that a bomb had been left at the house. It is understood an anonymous caller telephoned the MLA's office in Dunloy claiming that an explosive device had been planted.

Offices of SDLP MLA targeted in bomb alert
The west Belfast office of SDLP MLA Alex Attwood has been targeted in a hoax bomb alert early this morning. Two controlled explosions were carried out on the device after it was discovered at Mr Attwood's Andersonstown Road office shortly before 7am.
