Woman dies in County Tyrone collision

Police in County Tyrone have appealed for information following a road traffic collision in which a woman lost her life.

Eileen McKenna, 60, from the Cloughter area, died after being struck by a van in the Main Street area of Clougher at around 10.15am yesterday morning.

Ms McKenna was taken to hospital, however she later died from her injuries.

A total of 87 people have been killed on Northern Ireland's roads so far this year.

Police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have any information in relation to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Detectives from Legacy Investigation Branch have issued a fresh appeal for information on the murder of Brendan McKenna near Comber in June 1993, on what would have been Brendan's 58th birthday. Mr McKenna was shot dead by a gunman as he drove to a quarry on the Ballystockart Road, Comber on 2 June 1993.

Man Dies In Three-Vehicle Collision In Dungannon
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a fatal three-vehicle collision in Dungannon, Co Tyrone. A man, aged in his 60s, died when his blue Ford Ka was involved in a collision with a rad Toyota Yaris and a lorry at about 20:20 last night, on the Cookstown Road.

Man Dies In Three Car Collision In Dundrum
Police have issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Dundrum, Co Down. A 49-year-old man died at the scene of a three-car collision on the Belfast Road at about 12:20am on Thursday. It is understood that four other people are being treated in hospital following the collision.
