'Golden Ticket' For Global Work Opportunities At Forum
Ireland's accountants are being offered a golden ticket to work anywhere in the world at the Accountancy Worldwide International Recruitment Forum on Saturday 25th November, 2006 at the Westbury Hotel, Dublin.
This unique event, hosted by Think Global Recruitment, helps finance professionals from Ireland secure new positions overseas. Accountants can attend presentations by the world's leading financial firms; visit the worldwide exhibition to find out about job opportunities overseas and schedule interviews with potential employers.
Mary Dewhurst attended the Forum in March 2006 and secured a position with PwC NY after a series of interviews in Dublin.
"Accountancy Worldwide is much better than other events - there is no comparison really. You don't get the hard sell, just honest factual advice. I would say if you want to move abroad it's a must do. It will give you an idea of jobs and locations. My advice to accountants thinking of moving overseas would be to do it."
Think Global Recruitment's managing director, Abigail Stevens, says, "Accountancy Worldwide provides accountants with a chance to meet potential employers from all over the world, understand different cultures, how they would fit in and whether the lifestyle and career development opportunities are right for them."
This year sponsors will include Deloitte from Canada, KPMG from the Cayman Islands, KPMG from Frankfurt and the Bank of Butterfield from Bermuda, a specialist in Financial Services. Other sponsors will be announced at a later date.
The Forum has in the past attracted some of the world's most prestigious Accountancy, Commerce and Financial Services firms including, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, Proctor & Gamble, Grant Thornton, KPMG, BDO, Ernst & Young, Macqaurie Bank and Goldman Sachs.
Exciting relocation opportunities are available at the event to some of the most exotic locations in the world, including Africa, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, Channel Islands, Europe, Far East, Middle East, New Zealand, the UK and USA.
The Forum is free, but a refundable deposit of 30 euro / £25 is required to register.
In addition, Think Global Recruitment is hosting the 3rd annual Young Chartered Accountants' Ball on the evening of the Forum. This coincides with The Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland's (ICAI) Final Admitting Exam results.
The Ball is a great opportunity to celebrate exam results or just to relax and interact with other accountants. Accountants can enjoy an elegant black tie ball with a sumptuous three course meal, delectable wine and an excellent live band. Subsidised tickets for this event cost 40euro / £35 and can be purchased by contacting Think Global Recruitment on +44 (0) 870 242 6609, by emailing lcowan@thinkgr.com.
