PSNI release names of County Antrim crash victims

Police have released the names of the two people killed in a head-on collision in County Antrim yesterday afternoon.

Jason Worthington, 36, from Linenhall Street in Ballymena, and Linda Hunter, 34, of Ransevyn Park in Whitehead, died after the vehicle in which they were travelling was in collision with a car on the Ballybogey Road, outside Portrush, at around 12.35pm yesterday.

A third person, who was taken to hospital following the incident, is said to be in “critical condition".

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.

Two dead and one injured in County Antrim crash
Two people have been killed in a head-on collision in County Antrim. The collision occured on the Ballybogey Road just after 12.35pm on Thursday. One other person has been taken to hospital and is in a critical condition. Police have advised that the Ballybogey Road is closed and that emergency services are at the scene.

Eight injured in County Antrim collision
Eight people have been injured during a road traffic incident in County Antrim yesterday evening. A police spokesperson has said that three of the injured are in a "serious condition," and two of which have been transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Two die in road traffic incidents
Two men have died following separate road traffic incidents over the weekend. Damien McGovern, 17, from Drumaran in Letterbreen, near Enniskillen, died following a collision at Sligo Road in Belcoo on Sunday evening. A 37-year-old man has also died after his lorry crashed in Greenisland, County Antrim early on Monday.

Man dies in paragliding incident
The man who died during a paragliding incident in County Antrim yesterday evening has been named. He was Kelvin Adams, 53, from Ballytober Road in Bushmills. An air and sea rescue operation was launched by emergency services shortly before 8pm, after Mr Adams' paraglider crashed into rocks at the White Rocks area of Portrush.
