Paisley and O'Loan in stand up row

Northern Ireland Police Ombudsman Nuala O'Loan has been involved in a public stand up row with DUP policing board member Ian Paisley Junior in a Belfast city centre coffee shop.

The argument is believed to have centred around comments Mr Paisley had made about Ms O'Loan's family.

It is reported that the pair argued openly in front of customers, and Ms O'Loan was accompanied with two of her sons on Tuesday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the ombudsman confirmed that an incident had occurred and denied that either of her sons were involved in the clash.
