B&Q store damaged in arson attack
B&Q's Newtownabbey store has been damaged in an arson attack.
The store sustained smoke and water damage following a small blaze caused by an incendiary-type device left in a timber section of the store.
It is reported that a number of people were working in the store at the time the device exploded. No-one was injured.
The blaze activated the store's sprinkler system which contained the fire until firefighters arrived.
Police have appealed to traders to be vigilant.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a serious arson attack in the Clon Dara area of L'Derry on Saturday, 23 November. Shortly before 8.20pm, police received a report that an accelerant had been used to ignite the front door and letterbox of a house in the area.

Detectives in Belfast are investigating a suspected arson attack on a 5G mast in the Andersonstown Road area. The incident occurred around 9.55pm on Wednesday, November 13th. Detective Sergeant Faulkner confirmed that officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who successfully extinguished the blaze.

Belfast Woman Escapes Petrol Bombing
An overnight petrol bomb attack on a house in east Belfast has left a 42-year-old woman shocked but otherwise unhurt. Police officers dealt with a small fire at the house on Templemore Avenue at about 4.15am on Friday morning after a bottle filled with petrol was thrown at the door of the house. A motive for the attack has not yet been established.

Dissident Republicans are being blamed for a number of firebomb attacks on premises in Belfast in the early hours of this morning. At around 2am, emergency services were alerted to three incidents, two in the Boucher Road area of the city and one in Ann Street.
