Pair robbed in south Belfast

Police have appealed for information following a street robbery in south Belfast yesterday afternoon.

The incident happened at around 3.15pm when two men left an amusement arcade on the Ormeau Road area of the city with a sum of cash.

As the pair were making their way in the direction of the city centre, they were approached by two males who grabbed the money and ran off towards the Park Street area.

The robbers were then spotted getting into a maroon coloured car.

The first man is described as being around 5'6 in height, with short, shaven brown hair, and was wearing a blue coloured tracksuit. The second man is described as being around 5'9, of slim build, with short dirty-fair hair, and was wearing a white coloured tracksuit.

Police have said that the area was busy at the time of the incident and have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information in relation to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Man Armed With A Hammer Robs Shop In Shankill
A man with a hammer has robbed a shop in the Shankill Road area of Belfast. The incident occurred at around 10.55pm on Monday. A member of staff was threatened by the armed man, however he was not injured. The man escaped with a sum of money and cigarettes. He is described as being around 30 years old, 6 ft tap and of stocky build.

Masked Men Fire Shots And Threaten Woman In L'Derry
Masked men armed with guns have threatened a woman at a house in Dungiven, Co L'Derry. The incident happened in the Ard Na Smoll area at around 8.45pm on Wednesday, 12 October. The men threatened the woman and fired a number of shots before making off in a silver coloured 4x4 vehicle. The woman was not injured.
