Hijacking incident in north Belfast
Police in north Belfast have appealed for information following a hijacking incident in the lower Shankill area yesterday evening.
The incident happened at around 5.30pm when a woman, aged in her 20s, was returning to her car which was parked on the junction of Dayton Road and Townsend Street.
As she approached her vehicle, a man grabbed her by the right arm, threatened her with a knife, then demanded that she hand over her keys.
The assailant then made off in the direction of the Shankill Road.
The hijacker is described as being aged between 22 and 23-years-old, of medium build, with blonde/ginger coloured hair.
He was wearing a navy coloured zip-up top made of shiny material, dark trousers and a cream coloured baseball cap.
Police in north Belfast have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have any information in connection with it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Off-Licence In North Belfast Robbed
Police are appealing for information following a robbery at an off-licence in north Belfast. The incident occurred at premises on the Antrim Road on Monday at around 4.20pm. A man, who claimed he had a knife, made off with a small sum of cash. The suspect is described as around 5ft in tall and of slim build.

Woman Attacked In North Belfast
A woman has been assaulted and threatened in front of her children in north Belfast. The incident happened at a property in the Woodvale Gardens area at around 10.45pm on Tuesday. Three men entered the property and threatened and attacked the woman during a burglary. They made off in a maroon coloured Skoda car.

A woman has been punched in the face and dragged from her car in north Belfast. The hijacking happened in the Ardglen Place area at around 6.30pm on Monday, 05 February. The 21-year-old victim was flagged down by an unknown man asking for directions.

Attempted Hijacking In North Belfast
A woman has escaped from an attempted hijacking in north Belfast. The incident happened in the Ligoniel Road area at around 9pm on Thursday. A female driver was stopped at traffic lights when one man stood in front of the car and another man tried to open the driver's door. The woman managed to get away by driving off.
