'Racist' attack on County Antrim home

Police are treating a petrol bomb attack on a house in County Antrim in the early hours of this morning as racist.

The incident happened shortly before 1.30am, when a device was thrown through the front living room window of the property occupied by a Lithuanian family in the Kilgreel Road area of Antrim.

A small fire broke out, causing damage to a wooden floor and curtains, however no one was injured.

Detectives in Antrim have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have any information in relation to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

The incident happened at around 3.45am yesterday morning, when a shed at a property in the Woodside View area of Dunmurry, was set alight. The fire then spread to the house, where the family were asleep inside.

Police have appealed for information following a car-jacking incident in County Antrim yesterday evening. The incident happened around 6pm, when a woman who was leaving a park-and-ride facility close to the Templepatrick roundabout was shunted from behind by another vehicle.

Woman dies in County Londonderry collision
A woman has died following a road traffic collision in County Londonderry. The incident happened on the Glenshane Pass, close to the Knockloughrim junction at around 11am today. Three other people were injured during the collision and have been taken to Antrim Area Hospital, however the extent of their injuries is not yet known.
