Police treating woman's death as 'murder'

Police are treating the death of a woman in west Belfast at the weekend as murder.

The body of Grace Moore, 38, was discovered in a ground floor flat in the Erris Grove area of the Blacks Road at around 1pm on Saturday.

Officers were dispatched to the scene, which has since been sealed off for forensic examination.

It is not yet known how the woman died, however one man has been arrested in connection with her death.

Ms Moore was last seen leaving a nightclub in the Howard Street area of Belfast City Centre at around 2am on Saturday morning.

She is believed to have been in the company of a female friend and four men.

A short time later she was spotted getting into a car in the Upper Queen Street/Howard Street junction.

Police have asked for anyone who may have been in Grace's company in the early hours of Saturday morning, know who owned the car she got into, or who may have any information which they believe may be of use to the murder inquiry, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 1111.
