County Armagh pensioner robbed by gang
Police have appealed for information after a pensioner was robbed by a gang in her home in County Armagh.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said that a gang of up to six men broke into the home of a woman aged in her early 80s, by forcing their way through a front window of her home in the Bessbrook area at around 7pm yesterday evening.
One of the men held the pensioner down, while the others ransacked her house.
They then made off with a sum of cash, possibly in a dark coloured car.
The woman sustained bruising to her wrists, and was left badly shaken by the incident.
One of the burglars is described as being around 50-years-old, around 6 feet tall and with short dark hair. He is said to have been wearing a dark coloured sweater and blue jeans.
A second burglar is described as being around 30-years-old, 6 feet tall, with short dark hair and was also wearing a dark coloured top and blue jeans.
The others are said to be aged in their 30s.
Detectives in County Armagh have asked for anyone who may have noticed the men or the car in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone with any information on those responsible for carrying it out, to contact them in County Armagh on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

A County Armagh man has died after he fell from the back of a jeep in County Louth. Stephen Rice, aged 27, from Crossmaglen, died in hospital following the accident which occured at around 10:30am on Sunday at Rassan in County Louth. It is understood that the victim had suffered a serious head injury after he fell from the back of the vehicle.

Man 'Badly Shaken' After Robbery In Banbridge
A man in his 70s has been left very badly shaken after two men, one armed with a suspected gun, tied him up and robbed his house in Rathfriland, Banbridge. The burglary happened at a house in the Banbridge Road area between 7am and 8am on Tuesday, 29 November. The two men tied his feet with a belt and made off with a sum of money.

Father and son injured during robbery
A father and son have been treated in hospital after they were injured during a robbery at their Monaghan Road home outside Armagh last night. Shortly after 8.30pm, three masked men who were armed with a seven-inch-long boning knife, handgun and sledgehammer entered the house while the father and son were watching television.

Caroline Graham Appeal Renewed
Police have renewed an appeal for information regarding the teenager Caroline Graham, who disappeared in Portadown in 1989. The PSNI is to distribute leaflets in the town over next few days in a bid to encourage those with information to come forward. Caroline was 19 when she went missing from her home in Portadown, County Armagh, in 1989.
