Pensioner 'badly shaken' after arson attack
An elderly woman has been described by police as "badly shaken up" after an arson attempt was made on her house in the early hours of this morning.
Several hundred pounds worth of damage was caused to the property at Conneywarren Lane, in Ballysillan, north Belfast. It is not yet known how the fire was started.
Police are trying to establish a motive for the incident and have urged anyone with information to contact them.

Man Left Badly Shaken Following Arson Attack
An object was set on fire and pushed through a letterbox in an arson attack in north Belfast. Police are treating the incident, which happened at a flat in Castletown Avenue on Sunday evening, as an arson attack. A man who was in the house at the time was left badly shaken. Emergency fire crews extinguished the fire.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Investigation Launched Following Arson Attack In Belfast
Police have launched an investigation following an arson attack at a property in Belfast. A rag was put through the door of a house in the York Road area and set alight. Significant damage was caused to the door and the hall. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Orange Hall Badly Damaged In Suspected Arson Attack
An Orange Hall has been extensively damaged in a suspected arson attack. The interior of the Ballytyrone Orange Hall on the Creenagh Road in Loughgall was badly damaged. Sinn Féin MP Mickey Brady said condemned the attack.

Suspected Arson Attack In Belfast
An investigation has been launched into a suspected arson attack in south Belfast. Shortly before 3.30am on Friday, a car was set on fire in the Malone Avenue area of the city. The blaze spread to a house nearby, causing damage to the ground floor window of the property. Police have said they believe the fire was started deliberately.
