Two arrested over County Antrim attack
Two men have been arrested in connection with a serious assault on a Portuguese man in County Antrim.
The incident happened at around 3.15am on Tuesday, when two masked men forced their way into a flat in the Eglinton Street area of Portrush, pushed the 37-year-old migrant's girlfriend to the ground, before attacking him.
The attackers ransacked the property before making their escape.
Detectives investigating the incident are trying to establish a motive for the attack, however have ruled out a racial motive for the incident.

Sectarian motive behind school mini-bus attack
Two primary school mini-buses have been set alight in Co Down at the weekend. Details of the incident, which were released late on Monday, revealed how one vehicle was badly damaged in the blaze with a second suffering from scorch damage at the school on the Millisle Road in Donaghadee.

Two Charged With Attempted Murder
A teenager and a man have been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in west Belfast. The attack happened in the Cullingtree Road area in the early house of Sunday morning. The victim, aged 18, is currently in a serious condition in hospital.

Man arrested following arson attack
A man has been arrested following an arson attack in north Belfast this morning. The incident occurred in Newington Avenue just before 1am when a van was set alight. Police and fire crews attended the scene shortly afterwards. A police officer suffered minor injuries when she was struck by debris from the van.

Pensioners Flee Bangor Arson Attack
Police in North Down are appealing for information following a suspicious fire at a community hall in the Skipperstone Road area of Bangor on Thursday. At around 9.00pm, petrol was poured over the door of the centre and set alight. A number of pensioners were in the community centre at the time.

Two men, aged 38 and 40, have been arrested in connection with an arson attack in Newtownards, Co Down. The attack happened at a property in the Glenard Road area at around 1.25am on Tuesday, 29 November. Flammable liquid was poured through the letterbox and set alight.
