Suspicious fire in east Belfast
Detectives in east Belfast have appealed for information following a suspicious fire in the early hours of this morning.
The incident was reported to Emergency Services at around 3am this morning, however is believed to have started at around 2.30am at a business premises in the Woodstock Road area of the city.
During the incident, two laptop computers, a flat-screen television and an amount of cash was stolen from the premises.
A considerable amount of damage was also caused to the building during the blaze.
Police investigating the circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have any information in connection with it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Fire crews deal with separate fires in Co Antrim
Police are appealing for information following two suspicious fires in Co Antrim in the early hours of Friday morning. The first fire was discovered at a factory unit in north Belfast at around 12 midnight. It is believed the blaze started when paper inside the unit was set alight. Some windows and two other units were damaged in the fire.

The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) has introduced a new online tool to help residents assess their home fire safety. The Home Fire Safety Check coincides with Fire Safety Week, which runs from September 30th to October 6th. The initiative aims to reduce the number of house fires in Northern Ireland.

Firefighters Tackle Blaze In L'Derry
Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a Poundstretcher store in L'Derry. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Services (NIFRS) was alerted about the blaze on Bishop Street at around 1.30am on Thursday morning. Antrim Barber Shop Fire 'Suspected Arson'
Police are treating a fire at a business premises in Antrim as a suspected arson attack. It is believed the blaze was started at a Turkish Barbers on High Street on the evening of Monday 04 February. Emergency services, including three fire engines, attended the scene.
