Caledon stabbings injure four people

Part of Caledon village in County Tyrone has been sealed off following a stabbing attack.

Police confirnemed that a man has been arrested and a knife recovered.

Four people are understood to have been injured at around 10.40am on Monday morning. Their condition of the injured is not known and there are no further details at present.

It is reported that a man believed to be in his 20s attacked one person in a shop and then attacked three more people outside the food store.

Police have asked motorists to avoid the village while three separate scenes are examined.

Boy Seriously Injured in Dunmurry Fireworks Attack
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old boy was seriously injured in a fireworks attack in Dunmurry on Saturday, 12 October. The incident occurred around 8:30pm in the Stewartstown Road area. According to reports, the boy was struck in the face with a firework thrown by a group of youths.

Gun and bomb attacks injure 33 police officers
Thirty-three police officers were injured as a result of gun and bomb attacks on September 26 in the Ardoyne area. Loyalists on Cambrai Street and the Crumlin Road threw six blast bombs, 125 petrol bombs at police, and over 50 shots were fired at officers in two sustained bursts of automatic machine gun fire.

Policing Board to further review station closures
The Northern Ireland Policing Board has today adopted a proposal demanding further consultation on police plans to close 17 stations across the province, UUP MLA Fred Cobain has claimed.
