Police name motorway collision victim
Police have named the man who died on the M2 motorway yesterday afternoon.
He was John Lawrence Wolff, aged 39, from Ballymena in County Antrim.
The incident happened at 1.45pm yesterday afternoon on the northbound route out of Belfast, just before the Greencastle off-slip near Fortwilliam.
Police are still investigatig the incident which involved a pedestrian and a bus – no one else was injured.
All country-bound motorway lanes were closed between York Street and Greencastle until around 6pm while emergency services attend the scene.
Rush hour traffic was greatly disrupted throughout the city centre causing major chaos for commuters.

First NI Motorway Service Stations Announced
Northern Ireland’s first ever motorway service stations have been granted planning permission. Currently, motorists have to leave the motorway in order to find a service station, but the two developments planned for the M2, along with the two to follow on the M1, will offer drivers direct slip road access from both directions.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

PSNI to discuss yesterday's motorway disruption
The PSNI are to meet with the Roads Service to discuss the major traffic disruption caused by yesterday's fatal collision on the M2 motorway. During today's meeting, the PSNI and the Roads Service are expected to discuss how to prevent the same type of disruption to traffic from happening again.

Pedestrian Dies On M1 After Collision
A pedestrian has died after a collision with a lorry on the M1. The incident happened on the motorway near the Lurgan junction at around 5pm on Wednesday, 01 August. Police confirmed the pedestrian was a man. The westbound and eastbound lanes were closed however they have since been reopened.

Police Ombudsman Issues Appeal Regarding West Belfast Arrest
