Concrete slabs damage lorries in Banbridge

Police in Banbridge are appealing for information following an incident where slabs of cement were thrown at lorries.

The blocks were hurled at three lorries on the Cascum Road Bridge on the A1, outside Banbridge.

The drivers all escaped injury, however their vehicles were damaged.

A police spokesperson highlighted the dangers of throwing missiles at vehicles, and said they were taking the incident very seriously and would “deal robustly” with anyone involved.

Detectives have appealed to any witnesses to contact them with information at Banbridge on: 0845 600 8000 or alternatively call the confidential Crimestoppers line on: 0800 555 111.

Police have issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Banbridge, County Down. A 19-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash involving a lorry at Foxleigh Fields. The PSNI are investigating the circumstances of the collision and have issued an appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.
