Motorcyclist killed in road traffic collision
A motorcyclist has been killed following a road traffic collision in County Down this morning.
The incident occurred at around 8am near the Millbrook Lodge Hotel on the main Newcastle to Ballynahinch Road.
It is understood the motorcyclist collided with a car close to the Ballymaglave Road junction.
Detectives are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or was travelling on the Newcastle to Ballynahinch Road.
They can be to contacted at Downpatrick on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively, callers can phone the confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.

A 21-year-old man has died in a road traffic collision near Gilford, Co Armagh. The man is understood to have died after his motorcycle collided with a tractor on the Ballymacanallen Road at around 1.25pm on Wednesday. An investigation has been launched and police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.

Police Investigate Shooting Incident In L'Derry
Detectives are appealing for information after a young man was shot in the Creggan area on Wednesday night, November 27th. Shortly after 10:10 PM, police received a report that the man, in his late teens, had been shot in the leg. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
