Two die in car crash
Garda have said that one of the vehicles involved in a fatal car crash near Dundalk had a Northern registration and had been stolen.
The crash occurred at 3am on Sunday on the Carlingford Road.
David Keenan 17, from Culfore in County Louth, a front seat passenger in one car, and 64-year-old George Campbell from Jenkinstown, the driver of the other vehicle, lost their lives in the smash that occurred near Annaloughan in County Louth.
A female passenger is said to be in a critical condition in Drogheda Hospital.
Irish police said that they have interviewed the 18-year-old driver of the car.
He is being treated for injuries at a Drogheda Hospital.

Work Underway For Free Hospital Parking In Northern Ireland
Work has begun at several hospital sites across Northern Ireland as part of the preparations for the introduction of free car parking in May 2026. Health and Social Care Trusts have been actively preparing for the implementation of a new traffic management system since the Hospital Parking Charges Act was passed in 2022.

Teenager Killed In L'Derry Crash
A teenage girl has died in a car accident in L'Derry. The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 5pm on Sunday. The 13-year-old is believed to have been from County Donegal. The road has been re-opened.

Omagh sisters die in car crash
Two sisters from Omagh have been killed in a car crash in the Republic of Ireland. Tara Heaney, 30, and her 18-year-old sister Cheryl, also from Omagh, died after their car was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle at around 10.20pm on Tuesday evening.
