Pensioner missing from Newtownabbey care home

Police have issued an appeal for a 77-year-old man who has gone missing from his care home in Newtownabbey.

Patrick Duffy has been missing since 1.30pm on Wednesday 4 April and detectives are becoming increasingly concerned.

He is described as being 4ft tall, of slim build with balding fair hair. He was wearing a brown zipped-up cardigan, dark brown trousers and brown shoes.

He is also thought to be in a ‘vulnerable’ state.

Police and the man’s family are appealing to anyone who may have information on the man’s whereabouts to contact Newtownabbey PSNI station on: 0845 600 8000 or alternatively, call the confidential Crimestoppers number on: 0800 555 111.

Body Of Missing Man Found In Newtownabbey
Police have confirmed that the body of missing north Belfast man Robert Holmes has been found in Newtownabbey. The 42-year-old from Ballysillan had been missing for a week. The discovery on Wednesday, 24 October, in the Three Mile water area, comes only a day after Mr Holmes' sister made an emotional appeal for help in finding the father-of-three.
