25-year-old male assaulted in north Belfast
A man has been assaulted in north Belfast at the junction between Salisbury Avenue and the Antrim Road.
The attack took place at around 1am in the early hours of Thursday morning. It is understood the 25-year-old male was struck on the head with a brick before being further assaulted when he fell to the ground. He suffered a fractured cheek bone and cuts and bruising to his body and is currently being treated in hospital.
His injuries however, are not thought to be life threatening.
Three males are believed to have been involved in the attack and one man is currently helping police with their enquiries.
Detectives in north Belfast have asked for anyone who has any information to contact them on: 0845 600 8000 or on the confidential Crimestoppers line on: 0800 555 111.

PSNI 'Increasingly Concerned' For Missing North Belfast Man
The PSNI are increasingly concerned for a missing north Belfast man who may have travelled towards Larne. 39-year-old C Brady was last seen in the Skegoniel area at around 5.30pm on 05 January. He is believed to have travelled towards Larne in a silver Toyota Yaris, registration number FFZ 5221.

Man Seriously Assaulted In North Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after a man was attacked in north Belfast. The victim, aged in his 40s, was assaulted by a gang outside licensed premises in the Flax Street area at around 5.25am on Sunday, 17 July. The man sustained injuries to his head and is currently in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

A woman has been sexually assaulted following a burglary in north Belfast early on Friday. The 36-year-old victim awoke in her Brookvale-Cliftonville Road home at around 4am to find two men standing in her bedroom. One man ransacked her room whilst the other seriously sexually assaulted her. She was also hit on the head and body.
