Belfast Speed Networking event is big success

Belfast’s Biggest Speed Networking event took place at the Holiday Inn in Belfast last week.

Two hundred and ten business people from around Ireland attended the event, which was hosted by B4B.

Many attendees reported that the event resulted in new business with them shaking hands on deals that evening or at follow up meetings the next day.

Gordon Campbell of The Design Zoo praised the occasion, saying: “I have only recently joined B4B and already have got full value for my membership fee. The speed networking was a phenomenal success for my company.”

Hugh Burgess of Action International Coaching described the event as "the best networking event I have ever attended". He said: "Fabulous results by the end of the evening. Well done B4B.”

Action International Coach Paul Fieldhouse was compere for the evening. Attendees were supplied with guidance notes on successful speed networking and each got the chance to swap business cards and present information about their products and services to around 30 new business contracts. Those in attendance ranged from self-employed professionals to representatives of large organisations.

B4B’s next event takes place on Tuesday 1 May at The Edge in Belfast. Alan Gourley, Senior Manager in the PwC Growing Business Advisory Team will advise on ‘Taking the next step – Sources of finance to help your business grow’.
