Armagh man accused of attempted murder
A 44-year-old Armagh man has appeared in court in connection with two counts of attempted murder.
Colm Joseph McGurk, of Lower English Street, appeared before Newry Magistrates’ Court accused of the attempted murder of Patrick and Eisha McGurk on Saturday.
The man, who denied all charges, was also charged with two threats to kill on 10 April and 13 April, breaching a non-molestation order and arson.
He is remanded on custody until 24 April, when he will appear by video link at Armagh court.

Man Arrested Over Double Murder
A man has been arrested in England over a double murder in County Armagh in 2006. The 33-year-old was arrested on Wednesday in the Essex area. Thomas O'Hare, 33, and Lisa McClatchey, 21, were doused in petrol and set alight at their home in Tassagh in November 2006. The man is due to appear in Armagh Court on Friday.

Appeal Over Armagh Murder Probe
Police are continuing to hunt the killer of a "quiet and inoffensive" woman who was well-known and liked in the area of Armagh that she lived in. A detective leading the investigation into the murder of the widow has said it might be possible that the killing had been a burglary or robbery "gone wrong".

Rivals factions have clashed at Belfast Crown Court today at the trial of a County Armagh man accused of murdering a loyalist drug dealer. Jim Johnston, 45, was shot dead outside his home at Crawfordsburn, Co Down, in May 2003.

A 25-year-old man has appeared in court today charged with the murder of two teenagers in Co Armagh five years ago. Steven Leslie Brown denied murdering Andrew Robb, 19, and David McIlwaine, 18, on 19 February 2000. Both men were stabbed to death after leaving a disco in Tandragee.

Murder Inquiry After Woman Dies
Police have launched a murder inquiry following the death of a woman in Co Tyrone. Mairead McCallion, 36, was found at a property in Castleview Court, Omagh, on Sunday morning. She had suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital, but died a day later.
