New jobs at Stormont Assembly

Following the restoration of devolution, the Stormont Assembly is set to create approximately 180 new jobs.

The posts are for staff to support assembly committees, and it is thought over the next three years, 380 new jobs will be filled.

The website for the Assembly will advertise posts for clerks and parliamentary reporters as well as other jobs.

A Co Antrim window manufacturers has announced it is to create 25 new jobs. Apeer, located in Ballymena, said the new posts are part of a £1.7 million investment.

PwC Announces 800 Jobs For Belfast
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has said it is to create 807 new jobs in Belfast. The roles will be filled over the next five years. More than 300 of the jobs will be for qualified accountants and graduates in the firm's new financial advisory service. The remaining 500 posts will be for graduates recruited for the firm's global client businesses.
