Man suffers head injuries in Lisburn attack
Detectives in Lisburn are appealing for information following an attack in the city on Sunday evening.
A 37-year-old man was attacked at about 8:30pm with a plank of wood or a bat in the Sloan Ctreet/Old Warren area.
He was taken to hospital in Belfast with serious head injuries. However these are not thought to be life threatening.
The assailants are believed to be in their early to mid-20s. Police are currently working to establish a motive, but do not believe it to be sectarian or racial.

James McMahon, 21, was attacked by three masked men in Lisburn at around 10.30pm on Thursday. The victim suffered serious head injuries after being beaten with baseball bats during the assault at Hancock Street in the city centre.

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools
Over 80 schools across Northern Ireland have been closed as the heavy snow continues to cause disruption on Tuesday morning. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, as the snow is continuing to affect many roads. Areas which have been majorly disrupted include Lisburn, Castlereagh and Carryduff.

Man Arrested Over Crossbow Attack
Police are investigating after a 29-year-old man was shot with a crossbow as he sat in his car. The attack happened on Belgravia Avenue in the Lisburn Road area at about 17:20 on Wednesday. The victim was sitting in a car along with a 29-year-old woman, who escaped injury. The man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Craig Condemns Drug Dealing In Lisburn Following Suicide
Lagan Valley Assembly member, Jonathan Craig has condemned recent attacks and threats on a member of a local community in Lisburn following her stance against individuals involved in drugs. The DUP member of the Policing Board also called on the PSNI and local community to work together to prevent further deaths and threats.

A man has been treated in hospital following a paramilitary style attack in Co Antrim last night. The 25-year-old man was asleep in his home at Lagan Walk in Lisburn when three masked men entered the house and proceeded to beat him with iron bars. The incident, which occurred at around 11.
