Cameroon woman's deportation order halted
A woman has successfully won a legal bid to prevent her and her daughter from being deported to Cameroon.
Lordorice Djountso arrived in Northern Ireland in August 2005 when she was pregnant.
She said she fled Cameroon because her brothers had been killed in a dispute with a local chief.
Ms Djountso had been moved to a detention centre in Bedfordshire with her daughter Imelda around two months ago and they were due to be deported at 6:00am this morning.
Last week Djountso’s lawyers won a week-long delay so her and her one-year-old daughter could receive anti-malarial drugs before they were extradited.
Cassie McKeever, from the friends of Lordorice and Imelda group, said she welcomed the decision.
"We have not received another flight date and it gives us a certain amount of time to keep the campaign rolling on, but we are not certain of the next flight date," she said.
"Her and her daughter still face a very unsure future."

Deportation woman returns to Belfast
A Cameroon woman who was due to be deported from the UK has returned to Northern Ireland after spending two months in detention. Lordorice Djountso and her Belfast-born daughter Imelda who were being held at a detention centre in Bedfordshire, England, were today greeted by friends and supporters at Belfast International Airport.

For 20 months Debbie has been subjected to a high volume of crude and abusive text messages as well as some abusive phone calls. All the incidents have been reported to the PSNI.
