Effective AV Browne win top awards in London
AV Browne proved that local advertising campaigns can compete with the best in the UK.
The Advertising agency picked up not only a prestigious Silver National IPA Effectiveness Award at a glittering gala event in London but also scooped the award for ‘Best Launch Campaign’ for their work with Hastings Hotels.
The agency’s campaign for Hastings Hotels’ Golf Breaks was in the same category as high profile campaigns for brands including Walkers, BT, Halifax, Stella Artois and The Economist.
The judges deemed the campaign to be a “demonstration of how a radial marketing strategy, coupled with intelligent media solutions contributed a significant short term profit and a valuable database for future direct marketing activity.”
Judges were impressed by results which included £45,500 gross income generated within one month, and annual bookings of golf rooms at Hastings Hotels’ increased by more than 300%.
Accepting the Award, Sam McIlveen, Client Services/Media Director AV Browne Advertising said: “This award illustrates how highly effective advertising expertise is available locally and that local businesses do not need big budgets, just good ideas.”
Established in 1980, the IPA Advertising Effectiveness Awards are a biennial competition. Entries take as part of the Advertising Works series.
Established in 1926, AV Browne remains the largest billing advertising agency in Northern Ireland. The agency now has six Area IPA Effectiveness Awards.
The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) is the industry body and professional institute for leading agencies in the UK advertising, media marketing communications industry.
