Women rescued from floodwater
A pregnant woman and her elderly mother have been rescued from flooding in Cushendall.
The river Dall burst its banks flooding several houses in the County Antrim village. Firefighters called to the scene managed to get the women through a front window as water rose to around four feet.
Both women were said to be very upset by the ordeal, but were otherwise unharmed.
The flood in Cushendall inundated several homes and two bridges were reported to have been damaged.
Police had warned motorists to exercise extreme care due to the flooding.
More heavy rain is expected in Northern Ireland on Tuesday afternoon.
