Fujitsu Services To Create 30 Jobs In Northern Ireland
Fujitsu Services are creating 30 jobs in Belfast to staff Oracle's £3.2m Centre of Excellence.
The new Centre of Excellence is intended to deliver services based around Oracle's eBusiness Suite to Fujitsu's customers across Europe.
It is the second significant announcement that Fujitsu has made in Northern Ireland in recent months. In June the company announced the creation of 400 new jobs in Derry and Belfast as part of an £18m investment in a new Managed IT Services Centre of Excellence.
With the new jobs, the company has created 430 posts in the past three months to bring its planned employment in the region up to around 800. Invest NI, the regional development agency, has offered Fujitsu £150,000 to support the recruitment project.
Meanwhile, another IT supplier is expanding - Brocade is creating a new centre in Bangalore.
The storage networking vendor declined to say how many new jobs it is creating at its new research and development (R&D) facility.
According to Brocade's chief executive, Mike Klayko, the new centre "marks a significant milestone in the global growth of Brocade", and the centre will house "a custom-built facility with state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment".
