Man Appears At Court On City Rape Charge
A 23-year-old foreign national has appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court charged with raping and assaulting a woman in the city.
Ryan Subryan, originally from Guyana, South America but currently resident at Dunmurry Lane, south Belfast, is charged with raping and assaulting a woman on June 30.
Mr Subryan is already on remand after being charged last month with attacking two other women in the city with the intention of raping them.
It is understood that the charges relate to an alleged attack in the Short Strand area of Belfast. Mr Subryan did not speak, but nodded to indicate that he understood the charges.
A detective told the court that she believed she could connect Mr Subryan to both incidents.
Mr Subryan denies the charges and will be remanded in custody until September 7.

A teenager has appeared in court to deny murdering police officer Constable Stephen Carroll, 48, who was shot dead in Craigavon on Monday 9 March. He was in the dock at Lisburn Magistrates Court where the court was told he "made no reply to the charges", when they were put to him.

Two men in court over rape charge
Two men have appeared in court in Belfast charged in connection with the rape of a teenage girl in the city at the weekend. Robert Andrew Adams, 19, from Manor Court, Belfast, appeared before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday. He was charged with raping the 16-year-old girl in Drumglass Park on the Lisburn Road on Friday November 9.
